Having been in the healthcare industry for many years and working with clients of different size and structure, we’ve always taken notice that the most substantial advantages go to large corporations that have a higher aggregate of employees. The reason big corporate pays less and gets more value for their healthcare dollar is because they have wised-up and essentially created their own insurance rather than accepting quick and unwarranted increases in premiums for the same coverage.

These self-insured health plans turned out to be the way to go for these super companies, but that left small to mid-sized businesses behind because they don’t have the amount of members to make it happen.
